For 40-plus years, I’ve delivered varied, engaging content for newspapers, magazines, corporations, and custom content publications.

Topics range from music (the Toronto Star – 23 years, SOCAN’s Words & Music – 25 years) and the music industry (, Billboard, The Record and FYIMusicNews) to business (Road King regarding biodiesel, the Star on marketing trends,) romance (Lavalife,) humour (Niagara Magazine, charity (Samaritanmag) and advertorial (The Globe and Mail.)

A former music critic for The Hamilton Spectator, I’ve logged thousands of interviews with such diverse luminaries as Bob Dylan, Prince, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Herbie Hancock and Kellylee Evans.

I infuse substantial research and incorporate metrics wherever applicable into my work.

I co-authored Music from Far And Wide – Celebrating 40 Years Of the Juno Awards in 2011 (Key Porter) and served as managing editor of the JUNO Awards Souvenir Program from 2007-2014, contributing editorial since 1996.

I’ve also contributed editorial for the Grammy Awards Souvenir Program annually since 2010-17 and was a contributing author to 2012’s Routledge Film Music Sourcebook.

I’ve been published internationally in the U.S., U.K. and Australia and my past and present clientele includes Star Metro Media, Globe Edge, ole, CARAS, NARAS, St. Joseph Media, Redwood, Canadian Country Music Association, Canadian Music Week, Molson, General Motors, Universal Music, EMI Music Canada and the Rose Theatre, Brampton to name a few.

Specialties include press releases, newsletters, sales letters, case studies, corporate profiles, biographies and liner notes.

I’m also pursuing a career as a voice artist with my resonant baritone. I’m signed to Toronto’s KB Artist Management. Clients include Labatt through Anomaly and the Agawa Canyon Tour Train.
